Workplace Health Initiative Kicks Off

"B" Fit, a workplace health initiative offering weekly personal fitness training sessions, kicked-off at EPOS' headquarter offices in Bad Homburg. Held after work and open to all EPOS staff, the weekly fitness sessions are run by an outside professional sports trainer certified in sports science and medicine, fitness training, back training and cardiac sports medicine. "B" Fit mixes strengthening, stretching, endurance and nutrition training in both on-site or local outdoor locations.

EPOS organised and sponsored the "B" Fit programme in response to an Internal Employee Needs and Interests survey carried out earlier in the year showing that increasing exercise was the a top health priority for the majority of respondents. The "B" Fit sessions add to a growing corporate health initiative that includes gym membership fee subsidies, healthy food options in the workplace cafeteria, a weekly on-site farmers market selling fresh produce and an overall GOPA Group Health Day held last April in conjunction with the German Healthcare Insurance provider Techniker Krankenkasse. The importance expressed by staff on an overall work/life balance in the Needs and Interests Survey is gradually fueling initiatives that support staff wellbeing and EPOS' overall commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
