Procurement Oversight for Health Sector (11/2009–07/2012)

The objective of the assignment was to provide procurement oversight for the Health SWAp and to support ODPP, in building its capacity in procurement oversight and monitoring for the Health Sector procurement systems, ensuring compliance with Government of Malawi (GoM) laws and procedures and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Health Sector Wide Approach (SWAp). This procurement oversight role comprised all procurements realised by means of Health SWAp funds. In addition, procurement capacity building within ODPP was provided to enable ODPP to take forward this role post 2011 from within their own resources.
