Urban Health Strengthening Project (12/2009-08/2010)

In spite of particular problems seen in urban areas such as heavy concentration of population and of the poor, including internally-displaced people, urban cities like Kabul, received little support from donors just because the health indicators were not as bad as those in rural areas. Consequently, the urban poor had a limited access to health services in Kabul. JICA had contracted System Science Consultants Inc. (SSC), which sub-contracted EPOS Health Management, for 36 months, in the health economics and public private partnership areas to contribute to the development of this urban health model in Kabul.
